Daddy Lumba, the late highlife icon, will be laid to rest on December 6, 2025, in Kumasi.
The Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi will host the ceremony, according to a statement issued by his radio station, DL FM.
After a brief illness, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, also known as Daddy Lumba, passed away in the Bank Hospital on July 26, 2025.
He had been sixty years old.
Presidents, both past and present, have since offered their condolences and voiced their sorrow for the late musician.
The Fosu family and the Creative Arts Agency commemorated with a candlelight vigil at Independence Square around the country.
The music legend was honoured with a one-week memorial service at Independence Square on August 30, 2025.
In keeping with Akan traditions, hundreds of fans, artists, dignitaries, and family members came to honour the late highlife legend one more time during the week-long festival.
Former Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Agyapong, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia attended the sombre event.
Performances of Daddy Lumba’s classic classics, such as “Aben Wo Ha”, “Sika Asem”, and “Theresa”, were all over the event.
