Rev. Anthony Kwadwo Boakye, the founder and pastor of the Resurrection Power New Generation Church, which is located at Ngleshie Amanfro next to the Kasoa toll booth, has passed away.
He passed away in the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Tuesday evening, February 21, 2023, according to a statement from the church.
Rev. Boakye has taken a hiatus from active ministry since November 2021 because he has been battling a stroke.
Almost up until the time he was sent back to the hospital on January 31, 2023, when he complained of severe leg pain, he continued to serve as a pastor as his condition began to get better.
Up to the time of his passing at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, the family was getting ready to transfer him abroad for more medical care.
