The newly sworn-in members were urged by Hon. Ayensu-Danquah to work toward establishing strong, respectable, and future-ready institutions that would continue to provide competent, caring, and professional health workers for the nation.

She called on stakeholders to “reset” their institutional strategies and way of thinking in order to better reflect the state of the health industry.

She listed three main requirements for the boards, starting with the necessity of maintaining good governance through accountability, openness, and resource management.

Additionally, she urged them to uphold high standards, foster academic success, and support ongoing advancements in professional behaviour, teaching, practical training, and student welfare.

In addition, the Deputy Minister reminded members that their choices directly affect students and the millions of Ghanaians who will rely on the care that graduates give.

In order to fulfil the institutions’ mandate and make a significant contribution to the advancement of Ghana’s healthcare system, she urged the boards to collaborate.
