The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) hereby notifies the public, miners, licensed gold buyers, and stakeholders in the gold trading industry that Dominic Bonsu Ventures’ gold trading licence has been suspended with immediate effect.

The suspension was put in place after the GoldBod determined that Dominic Bonsu Ventures had violated both the Ghana Gold Board Act, 2025 (Act 1140) and the terms and conditions of its licence.

Additionally, the GoldBod notifies the public that it is presently looking for Dominic Bonsu Ventures’ owner in relation to continuing enforcement actions.

In order to expedite the enforcement process and associated criminal proceedings, the High Court of Accra issued a Bench Warrant for the proprietor’s arrest in response to an application made by the GoldBod.

To carry out the warrant, the GoldBod is collaborating closely with the relevant law enforcement organisations.

As a result, Dominic Bonsu Ventures is immediately barred from purchasing, selling, aggregating, transporting, or engaging in any other activity involving gold.

Until further notice from the GoldBod, all licensed purchasers, aggregators, self-financing aggregators, and miners are thus instructed to immediately discontinue all trading, commercial dealings, or other business engagements with Dominic Bonsu Ventures pertaining to gold transactions.

According to the Ghana Gold Board Act, 2025 (Act 1140), any individual or organization discovered supporting, facilitating, or participating in gold transactions with Dominic Bonsu Ventures during the suspension period will be subject to the relevant enforcement and regulatory procedures.

The GoldBod is still dedicated to making sure that the laws, licence requirements, and trading guidelines that regulate Ghana’s gold trading industry are strictly followed.

It will also keep taking firm enforcement action against any individuals or organisations that compromise the integrity, openness, and smooth operation of the sector.
