Rapper Obrafuor of Ghana has filed a lawsuit against Drake of Canada for copyright violations.
Obrafour is suing Drake for using a sample of his “Oye Ohene (Remix)” in his song “Calling My Name,” according to information from the lawsuit that has been posted online through the District Court of Southern District of New York.
According to the lawsuit’s specifics, Drake’s request for permission to sample the music through email was rejected. Yet, he went ahead and released the song, which was later included on an album.

Obrafour is seeking $10,000,000 in damages based on the song’s performance, which was featured on Drake’s widely listened-to “Honestly, Nevermind” album.
