The majority shareholder of ADB has nominated Chartered Accountant and former Deputy Minister of Communications, Edward Ato Sarpong as the new Managing Director of the bank.
JoyBusiness understands that the Board of ADB has approved the nomination of Mr. Sarpong subject to approval by other regulators like the Bank of Ghana, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Ghana Stock Exchange.
Mr. Sarpong has already been introduced to the staff at the durbar. He takes over from Alhassan Yakubu Tali, who announced his resignation effective February 5, 2025.
