A feasibility study has been conducted by a delegation from Togbe Afede XIV in support of the Kpeve Water Treatment Plant’s proposed expansion.

As part of an ongoing feasibility study for a proposed investment to increase the plant’s production capacity, executives of Strategic Initiatives Limited, representing the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, and their Chinese partners visited the Kpeve Water Pumping and Treatment Station on Saturday.

During the facilities inspection, the delegation was accompanied by Mr. James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister, and other representatives from the local government.

The delegation was given an overview of the Kpeve Water Pumping and Treatment Station’s operations, present production capacity, and vital role in providing communities throughout the Volta Region with potable water by Mr. Eric Avornyo, Station Manager.

He described the station’s operational difficulties and emphasised the need for more production capacity to satisfy the area’s rising need for clean drinking water.

By growing the plant, the projected investment aims to improve the region’s water infrastructure and provide residents with more sustainable, dependable, and safe drinking water.

The visit was a component of continuous efforts to evaluate the operational and technical needs for the proposed investment prior to its implementation.

If the planned expansion is carried out, the project is anticipated to make a substantial contribution to enhancing water security and promoting socioeconomic development throughout the Volta Region.
