In the Ekumfi District of the Central Region, the people of Ekumfi Ekumpoano are facing critical issues with access to water and electricity.

They have pleaded with the government to address these issues by supplying a new transformer to improve the area’s steady electrical supply, especially through the Minister of Energy.

Some locals claim that the hamlet is struggling with low electricity voltage, prolonged periods of complete darkness, and regular disruptions in their water supply.

The lack of a dependable power source has severely affected day-to-day operations, especially for the local companies.

The town’s five other methods of obtaining pure drinking water have all deteriorated over time, the inhabitants pointed out, so the community now depends solely on a standing pipe.

They highlighted instances of transformer fires, power outages, and shortages that have negatively impacted the community in order to highlight the urgent need for a new transformer to guarantee access to electricity.

The residents claimed that when they asked the Electricity Company of Ghana to replace or repair the malfunctioning transformer, they had received no response.

They made particular notice of a 50KVA three-phase transformer that was a fire hazard to the neighborhood because of the widespread use of electrical devices there.

Some locals expressed worries about the impending celebrations in the neighborhood during interviews.

They stated that the current state of affairs has led to the destruction of food supplies and electrical appliances, and they raised concern about the availability of potable water and a reliable power supply during this time.

In order to solve these urgent problems and enhance the quality of life in Ekumfi Ekumpoano, the people are pleading with the government to act quickly.
