The Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2024, by the Electoral Commission of Ghana, will serve as a platform for important talks about the general elections that are scheduled for December 7, 2024.
The EC was under tremendous pressure to disclose its schedule for the next elections, and several political parties and members of parliament put out this demand.
A formal invitation to the IPAC meeting was given to political party members on March 1, 2024, and it was signed by Mr. Bossman Eric Asare, Deputy Chairman for Corporate Services at the EC. Three representatives of each party’s interests are to be sent, per invitation.
The main agenda item for the planned meeting is slated to begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Electoral Commission’s IPAC room.
This will prepare the ground for the announcement of the Election 2024 schedule.
This important meeting of political players will also allow for the discussion of any other relevant issues.
