The Ghana Education Service (GES) is hiring new teachers, and qualified graduates are encouraged to apply for jobs all around the nation.
The Service stated that it is looking for enthusiastic and committed people with a Bachelor of Education degree or similar credentials to join its staff in a job posting dated April 10, 2026.
The statement states that successful candidates would be expected to serve students with a variety of educational challenges, use digital tools to help students build strong research skills, and provide instruction using contemporary, technology-driven methodologies.
In accordance with national professional and ethical standards, teachers will also have to evaluate students’ performance using a range of techniques.
The Service stressed that in order to stay current with changing teaching approaches, candidates must show a dedication to ongoing professional development.
A degree in education or a related degree along with a postgraduate diploma or certificate in education is required to be eligible.
They must have finished their National Service, have a current National Teaching Council teaching licence, and demonstrate effective classroom management and communication abilities. Additionally, candidates must be open to accepting positions in underprivileged or underdeveloped districts.
Candidates who are interested must apply via the official recruiting portal, fill out an online application and upload the relevant paperwork, which includes a passport-sized photo, a teaching licence, a National Service certificate, academic credentials and a Ghana Card.
The deadline for applications is April 10–April 17, 2026.
According to the Ghana Education Service, the hiring is a component of initiatives to improve the quality of instruction and increase access to education across the nation.
