Former National Service Authority (NSA) Executive Director Osei Assibey Antwi’s request to have his bail conditions modified has been approved by the Accra High Court, which is presided over by Justice Kizita Naa Koowa Quarshie.

The accused might report to the Bureau of National Intelligence (BNI) office in Kumasi rather than Accra because to this variance.

In order to give the prosecution more time to submit additional disclosures, the court postponed the main trial to Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 1:30 pm on Monday, April 13, 2026.

Ralph Poku-Adusei, the defence attorney and member of parliament for Bekwai, asked the court to change his client’s reporting location from the BNI in Accra to the Kumasi office.

The republic’s prosecutor, Dufie Prempeh, stated that the state had no objections to the request. As a result, the application was approved by Justice Kizita Naa Koowa Quarshie, who also mandated that Osei Assibey Antwi report to the Kumasi BNI.

Alongside the case’s adjournment, the modification was made. The prosecution told the court earlier in the session that it had filed disclosures that morning that included roughly 49 papers with attachments, but that it still needed to finish another batch.

Dufie Prempeh asked for one to two weeks to complete the process.

Ralph Poku-Adusei objected to the brief adjournment, claiming that the prosecution had taken a long time to compile the materials and that the defence required enough time to analyse them.

The judge eventually approved three weeks, urging the state to serve the defence on time.

Osei Assibey Antwi is charged with 21 counts related to the alleged ghost names controversy at the NSA, including causing financial loss to the state in excess of GH¢431.8 million. He has entered a not guilty plea to every accusation.

He is still on bail under the current terms, which include surrendering his passports, being placed on the watch list, and reporting to the BNI twice a month on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.
