The National Communications Authority (NCA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, has launched a Call for Expressions of Interest for Ghanaian artists and creatives to participate in the “Ghana at ITU” initiative.

The initiative forms part of activities marking the 30th Anniversary of the National Communications Authority (NCA) and seeks to showcase Ghanaian creativity and cultural identity on the international stage.

Ghanaian Creatives Invited to Create “A Piece of Ghana for the World”

Under the theme “Create a Piece of Ghana for the World,” the organisers are inviting Ghanaian creatives to submit original concepts for a distinctive artefact that will represent Ghana at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

The selected artwork or artefact is expected to be iconic, original and suitable for permanent display in an international diplomatic setting.

The initiative provides an opportunity for Ghanaian artists, designers and creative professionals to contribute to the country’s cultural representation while promoting Ghanaian art and creativity internationally.

The call is open to every Ghanaian, including:

According to the organisers, no minimum experience is required, making the opportunity accessible to both emerging and established creatives.

Applications for the Ghana at ITU initiative open on Monday, October 5, 2026.

Interested applicants are required to submit their concepts by Thursday, October 15, 2026.

Applicants are encouraged to submit original designs that capture the spirit, identity, culture and creativity of Ghana and are appropriate for permanent international display.
