André Ayew, also known as André Morgan Rami Ayew, is a professional footballer from Ghana who was born on December 17, 1989, in Seclin, France.
He is a versatile attacking midfielder and forward who can play on either wing, as well as a striker.

Ayew is the son of Abedi Pele, a former Ghanaian football legend who played for Marseille and the Ghana national team. Ayew began his football career at the Marseille academy, following in his father’s footsteps. He made his first-team debut in 2007, at the age of 17, and quickly established himself as a key player for the French club.


Ayew played for Marseille for several seasons, winning several domestic titles and gaining a reputation as one of the best young players in Europe. In 2015, he left the club to join Swansea City in the English Premier League, where he continued to impress with his skill and versatility.
Ayew has also played for the Ghana national team, making his debut in 2007. He has represented his country at several international tournaments, including the 2010 and 2014 World Cups, as well as the African Cup of Nations.

Throughout his career, Ayew has earned numerous individual accolades, including being named the BBC African Footballer of the Year in 2011 and 2015. He has also been nominated for the CAF African Footballer of the Year award on multiple occasions.
As of February 2023, Ayew currently plays for Al Sadd in Qatar.
