Supporters of Ghana’s national football team will be able to watch every second of the 2026 FIFA World Cup live thanks to the government’s successful acquisition of the tournament’s television broadcast rights, which was made possible by an ongoing fundraising campaign.

During a ceremony to reveal a sizeable financial contribution to the Black Stars’ World Cup preparations, Kofi Adams made the confirmation.

GCB Bank reinforced private sector support for Ghana’s participation in the international competition by donating GH¢5 million to the national team’s fundraising effort during the ceremony.

Ghanaian fans will be able to watch live coverage of the competition thanks in large part to the joint efforts of government agencies and business partners, according to the Sports and Recreation Minister.

“Through the support of government and fundraising efforts, we have been able to secure broadcast rights to telecast the World Cup matches live on some of the media stations,” Mr. Kofi Adams said.

In order to provide the Black Stars with financial support prior to the expanded World Cup event, which will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, the fundraising drive was launched.

As Ghana is ready to make another appearance on the largest stage of football, authorities are working to create excitement and unity throughout the country in addition to preparing the team for competition.

Football supporters who are eager to follow the Black Stars throughout the competition are anticipated to feel relieved and excited by the current development, as anticipation for the tournament has been increasing gradually.
