Ghanaians are reportedly pleading to be saved from President Akufo-Addo’s irresponsible administration, according to former president John Mahama.

He asserts that Ghanaians are desirous of working with an NDC administration to create a better country and that they are weeping.

Mr. Mahama said during a speech to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) European Chapters Conference in Amsterdam, Holland, that his Ghanaian brothers and sisters have once more given him the chance to head the NDC during the party’s presidential primary elections.

“That activity helped our grassroots members and executives get back on track. We were able to deliver our message to them and the residents of their areas, telling them that the National Democratic Congress is still the political force to believe in when it comes to the welfare and overall development of Ghana’s population.

Therefore, it is our responsibility to recommit to working tirelessly in our branches to garner the most votes possible to ensure a resounding win in 2024. I’ll say it again: We must accompany our referee to the polls on December 7, 2024.

That referee will be our diligence, readiness, and convincing victory in the election. Our comeback in the 2020 elections, which saw us gain 137 more seats and nearly 1.4 million more votes, was the consequence of everyone’s commitment, labor, and the support of the Ghanaian people, according to Mr. Mahama.

According to the former president, Ghanaians have seen the difference and support the NDC’s agenda, which was outlined in the People’s Manifesto in 2020.

“Brothers, we did not take over as the dominant party in Parliament. Because we left some loose ends in a strange election under COVID restrictions and the economic collapse, we were also not certified the winners of the 2020 presidential elections. Because of this, our victory in 2024 must be decisive.

“I make my unequivocal vow and assurance in my capacity as leader and flagbearer. To ensure that we safeguard the votes of the throngs of Ghanaians, I will work with the party leadership, which is represented here by the General Secretary, to assemble a formidable team and implement policies and methods.

These Ghanaians desire to be released from the chains of destitution and suffering brought on by the careless Akufo Addo and Bawumia administrations. The majority of Ghanaians are prepared to cooperate with us to create the Ghana that we all desire.
