GOIL is now known as GOIL PLC

A name change for The Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) has been announced.

The new name of GOIL is GOIL PLC.

According to GOIL’s public announcement, the name change complies with the Companies Act 2019 (Act 992) section 21 (b), which mandates that all public companies limited by shares must include the words “Public Limited Company” or the acronym “PLC” to their registered names.

The statement also stated that the name change “will not affect GOIL PLC’s activities and that any existing and previously negotiated contracts, agreements, documents, products, and services that reflect the Company’s prior name shall remain valid.”
