IFC and MoFAD Explores a Partnership in Aquaculture

Hon. Emelia Arthur, the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, received a courtesy call from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a division of the World Bank Group, to discuss possible cooperation in Ghana’s aquaculture industry.

The meeting’s main objectives were to increase food security, productivity, and job creation through sustainable aquaculture investments.

Mr. Kyle Kelhofer, Senior Country Manager at IFC, reiterated the organization’s dedication to assisting Ghana’s aquaculture industry. The engagement was welcomed by Hon. Emelia Arthur, who also underlined the necessity of private sector investment to realize the sector’s full potential.
