IGP “personally intervened,” according to Metro TV operators Ignite Media Group (IMP), in the invasion

Metro TV’s Ignite Media Group (IMP) operators claim that Inspector General of Police (IGP) George Akuffo Dampare “personally intervened” during the “attack by armed policemen, auctioneer, and bailiff” earlier today.

IMG claims that Dr. Akuffo Dampare pledged a “thorough investigation” into the widely publicized assault that affected Metro TV, Dr. Randy Abbey, the anchor of its morning show, and a private security guard, among others.

In a statement released by IMG on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, the IGP promised to provide “provision of adequate security at the premises of IMG” in the wake of the aforementioned attack.
