Italian Boy Lounge in Nungua Kantamanto in Accra was shut down by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) following an operation aimed at suspected drug possession.
According to reports, the exercise was carried out on Friday night while plans were being made for the events that night.
The facilities were blocked off and two employees were arrested to help with investigations.
During the investigation, officials also found and confiscated materials they believed to be illegal drugs for additional analysis.
The chemicals found and the circumstances of the raid have not yet been disclosed by the FDA.
The operation is a component of the Authority’s continuous efforts, in collaboration with other state agencies, to address the use and distribution of illegal narcotics in public areas and entertainment venues.
Investigations are still going on.
