According to President Nana Akufo-Addo, his administration has managed the creation of 321 1-District-1-Factory projects, comprising 211 new, medium-to-large-scale businesses, and has consciously assisted 110 already-existing businesses by making sizeable capital investments in the expansion of production facilities and product diversification.
The President claims that these businesses have been founded in 142 districts nationwide, encompassing all 16 regions, and have achieved 54% district coverage.
He stated that the goal is to implement a 1D1F project in each district.
Furthermore, he revealed that throughout this time, active businesses created about 170,000 new jobs under the 1D1F Program.
On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, Nana Akufo-Addo made these remarks when accepting an invitation from Blue Skies Limited’s management to tour their plant in Nsawam, in the Eastern Region.
Speaking on the business, President Akufo-Addo stated that “Adding Value at Source” is one of Blue Skies’ guiding principles. This idea perfectly complements his government’s 1D1F policy.
He emphasized the 1D1F project, which seeks to build at least one industrial enterprise in each district of our nation in order to foster industrialization at the grassroots level.
