The total value of mobile money transactions in Ghana stood at GH¢323.2 billion in June 2025, marking a month-on-month decline of 10.2 percent from the GH¢360 billion recorded in May 2025.
This is according to the Bank of Ghana’s Summary of Economic and Financial Data for July 2025, which highlights a temporary slowdown in digital financial activity.
Despite the monthly dip, the data reveals robust year-on-year growth.
Compared to GHS 224 billion recorded in June 2024, the latest figure represents an increase of over GH¢99 billion, a 44.3 percent rise underscoring the continued expansion of Ghana’s digital payments ecosystem.
