Ghanaian musician KiDi has revealed that he discovered his entrepreneurial side long before becoming a successful musician, after running a love letter writing business while attending Accra Academy Boys School.
The “Lomo Lomo” hitmaker shared the interesting story during an interview with broadcaster Kafui Dey, explaining how his classmates paid him to write and creatively decorate romantic letters for their girlfriends.
According to KiDi, he had a special talent for putting feelings into words, which made other students seek his help when they wanted to impress their loved ones.
“We used to write letters to our girls, and I had a special talent where people would pay money, and I’d help them write letters to their loved ones,” KiDi explained.
His service went beyond simply writing the messages. The musician said he also designed and decorated the love letters with painted flowers and creative artwork, adding a personal touch to make the recipients feel special.
KiDi humorously recalled that his classmates did not have perfume available at school to spray on the letters, joking that anyone who owned perfume would not have brought it to school.

The award-winning Ghanaian musician also disclosed that he performed under the stage name “Eduardo” before eventually adopting the name KiDi, which later became widely recognised in Ghana’s music industry.
The revelation has given fans a glimpse into the musician’s life before fame and highlighted his early creativity, business instincts and interest in entertaining others.
