The African Games’ Local Organizing Committee (LOC) has decided to provide GHC1,000 as compensation to volunteers for the just concluded 2023 African Games in Accra.
This comes after the volunteers objected to unpaid stipends that they claimed the organizers had promised.
The LOC’s Executive Chairman, Dr. Kwaku Ofosu-Asare, signed a statement stating that in order for the volunteers to get paid, they needed to verify their status by Monday, April 8.
