NAIMOS Steps Up Its Battle Against Galamsey in Western and Western North Regions

Several illegal mining sites in Hiawa, in the AMENFI CENTRAL District, have been stormed by an NAIMOS taskforce.

The task team demolished a variety of illegal mining equipment, such as wooden gold washing platforms, water pumping machinery, and temporary buildings.

In total contempt of all environmental regulations and regulatory monitoring, the Taskforce has stepped up its anti-galamsey campaign in places where illegal miners are already residing and seriously damaging farmlands, forests, and water bodies.
