The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has responded to a serious road accident involving a water tanker and a Toyota Voxy at Tipper Junction on the Kasoa–Winneba Road.
The head-on collision occurred on Saturday, August 15, 2026, prompting firefighters from the Buduburam Fire Station to quickly arrive at the scene and assist accident victims.
Eight injured persons were rescued by the firefighters and transported to the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa for medical treatment. Sadly, one of the victims later died from injuries sustained in the accident.


The Toyota Voxy suffered extensive damage, particularly to its engine compartment, while the water tanker also sustained partial damage.
The exact cause of the crash remains unknown as investigations are ongoing.
The latest Kasoa–Winneba Road accident has renewed concerns about road safety, dangerous driving and the need for motorists to exercise caution on major highways to prevent road crashes and loss of lives.
