President John Dramani Mahama Arrives in Abidjan for AfDB’s 60th Annual Meeting
It is anticipated that the Ghanaian leader will attend the 51st Annual Meeting of the African Development Fund (ADF) and the 60th Annual Meeting of the African Development Bank (ADB).
Dr. Calistus Mahama, President Mahama’s executive secretary, and Stan Dogbe, Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, accompanied the president.
At the Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport, Ivorian Transport Minister Kone Amadou welcomed President Mahama with open arms.
The subject of the high-level sessions, which formally begin today, Monday, May 26, 2025, is “Making Africa’s Capital Work Better for Africa’s Development.”
As Dr. Akinwumi Adesina serves out his second and final term and is no longer eligible to run, the election of a new ADB president will be a major highlight of the sessions.
