President John Dramani Mahama has returned to Ghana after completing his official engagement in Luanda, Angola, where he participated in the 21st Extraordinary Session of the Assembly of African Union Heads of State and Government.
The Ghanaian President attended the high-level African Union (AU) summit as part of ongoing diplomatic engagements aimed at strengthening cooperation and addressing key issues affecting African countries.
President Mahama travelled to Angola with a delegation that included the Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Operations, and Special Envoy to the AES Countries, Colonel Larry Gbevlo-Lartey (Rtd.).
His participation in the extraordinary AU session forms part of Ghana’s continued involvement in regional diplomacy, African cooperation and continental affairs.
President Mahama’s return marks the conclusion of his latest international diplomatic assignment, as the government continues its efforts to strengthen Ghana’s relations with other African countries and international partners.
