Yaa Naa Abubakari Mahama, the Overlord of Dagbon, had a courtesy call from President John Dramani Mahama at the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi as part of his Thank You Tour after winning the 2024 elections.
In his remarks, President Mahama thanked the Yaa Naa for his blessings and prayers, stressing the need of honoring the traditional leader before interacting with other regions in the region.
The President reiterated his administration’s dedication to the Northern Region’s development while speaking to a group of Chiefs and locals at Gbewaa Palace.
He emphasized the government’s massive 10,000-hectare irrigated land project, which aims to increase agricultural output and solve the problems caused by unpredictable rainfall brought on by climate change.
In the meantime, President Mahama has defended his recent nominations, highlighting the youthfulness, talent, and commitment of those selected to lead Ghana through its economic recovery.
He gave the country his word that his team is totally dedicated to addressing its economic problems and promoting national change.
The President’s Thank You Tour is still going strong, stopping in different places to show appreciation and talk about his administration’s development plan.
