The Eastern Regional Command of the National Signals Bureau in Koforidua has been commissioned by Hon. Muntaka-Mohammed Mubarak, Minister of the Interior and National Security, to strengthen public safety and security and the nation’s national security infrastructure.
The state-of-the-art surveillance equipment in the new office will be crucial in bolstering the government’s 24-hour economy policy and improving monitoring throughout the area.
Hon. Muntaka underlined in his keynote speech that the office’s opening demonstrates the government’s dedication to using technology to keep ahead of criminals and guarantee Ghana’s continued status as a haven of peace and stability.

Hon. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, the Eastern Regional Minister, said she was happy to host the facility and emphasised its importance for an area dealing with issues including drug-related crimes, armed robberies, and illicit mining.
She promised ongoing assistance to guarantee the office’s ability to effectively uphold security and tranquillity in each of the area’s districts.
Emphasising that security is a shared responsibility, COP Abdul-Osman Razak, the National Security Coordinator, urged the NSB personnel to carry out their responsibilities with integrity.
He urged cooperation from all parties involved in order to optimise the facility’s influence.
The office’s commissioning is a component of the government’s larger initiatives to update the nation’s security framework and guarantee everyone’s safety and security.
