VIP Jeoun Transport has announced a significant increase in rates for both its executive coach and basic tour services, beginning Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
Management unveiled the updated fare lists on Tuesday, which include 33 routes for the regular tour category and 42 routes for executive coaches. This is the first fare review since April 2024, the corporation revealed.
The new charge for executive coach travellers from Accra to Kumasi is GH¢150, compared to GH¢120 for the same trip on a regular tour bus.
The executive class ticket from Accra to Tamale costs GH¢360, while the regular ticket costs GH¢290.
At GH¢460, the Accra to Kulungugu route has the highest executive fare on the list.
Additional noteworthy executive costs are GH¢450 from Accra to Hamile, GH¢430 from Accra to Bawku, GH¢420 from Accra to Navrongo and Paga, and GH¢410 from Accra to Bolgatanga.
The most costly route on the regular tour list is from Accra to Garu (GH¢350), which is followed by Accra to Bawku (GH¢340) and Accra to Bolgatanga (GH¢330).
Additionally, Kumasi’s intercity routes have been modified. Executive coaches now pay GH¢210 from Kumasi to Tamale, GH¢240 from Kumasi to Wa, and GH¢300 from Kumasi to Kulungugu.
The typical excursion from Kumasi costs GH¢170 for Tamale and GH¢190 for Wa.
Sunyani (GH¢200), Takyiman (GH¢200), Sampa (GH¢230), Dormaa (GH¢220), Drobo (GH¢220), Kintampo (GH¢220), Nkoranza (GH¢210), Ahafo Goaso (GH¢200), Dunkwa-on-Offin (GH¢190), Asante Mampong (GH¢170), Obuasi (GH¢180), and Wassa Akropong (GH¢200) are additional executive routes from Accra.
Sunyani (GH¢170), Wenchi (GH¢180), Drobo (GH¢180), Dunkwa (GH¢160), Diaso (GH¢180), Tarkwa (GH¢150), Takoradi (GH¢120), Cape Coast (GH¢110), Enchi (GH¢190), Asankragua (GH¢180), and Samreboi (GH¢190) are typical tour fares from Accra.
The business stated that a prior announcement of a fare rise was suspended on March 18, 2025, after it was first published on March 14, 2025. At the time, no explanation was provided for the suspension.
Founded in 2008, VIP Jeoun Transport connects cities throughout Ghana, including Tamale, Sunyani, Takyiman, Wa, Bolgatanga, and Bawku, using state-of-the-art air-conditioned 42-seater coaches from main hubs in Accra and Kumasi.
Passengers are advised by management to be aware of the updated fares, which go into effect on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
