The Police Service will continue to get resources from the government in its effort to become a top-tier police institution, according to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
In order to properly uphold peace and order in accordance with its constitutional duty, he stated that the Police will continue to receive the required infrastructure, resources, and motivation.
Dr. Bawumia made the commitment while serving as the special guest at the 51st Cadet Officers’ Graduation of the Ghana Police Academy on November 25, 2022, in Accra.
A total of 308 officers received commissions as assistant superintendents of police and deputy superintendents of police.
They went through the updated training program, which emphasizes actual application over extensive academic study.
Dr. Bawumia emphasized the communal roles that everyone must play in creating safer neighborhoods as he also asked the public to work with the Police and other security institutions to maintain national security.
