President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s job approval ratings have dramatically dropped in a new Global InfoAnalytics poll, signaling a substantial setback from the rebound shown in a July poll.

Only 34% of Ghanaians express approval of the president’s performance in field interviews conducted between September 21 and October 1, 2023, while a significant 66% express displeasure, leaving no room for ambiguity.

The figures reveal significant unhappiness among Ghanaians and show a decline in trust in the administration’s capacity to resolve the country’s issues.

The poll revealed how the populace felt about the nation’s trajectory.

A startling 70% of voters think Ghana is going in the wrong direction, while only 23% are still confident in the current course. The remaining 7% did not voice their opinions.

The poll probed the perceptions of citizens’ means of subsistence.

47% of respondents, or nearly half, said that their standard of living had declined over the previous 12 months. Only 18% of respondents said their condition had improved, while 30% said it had not altered. The remaining 5% were silent on the subject.

The poll’s findings highlight the rising unhappiness among Ghanaians, underscoring the urgent necessity for the government to respond to their issues as soon as possible and successfully.

The perspectives presented in this poll serve as an essential gauge of popular mood as the country navigates these trying times, necessitating the attention and action of national leaders.
