The Koblimahagu Zuo community in the Tamale Metropolis has been thrown into mourning following the discovery of three children who had reportedly been missing since Saturday.

The children, aged three, five and eight, were found dead inside a parked vehicle in the community on Monday morning, leaving residents shocked and distressed.

The circumstances surrounding the disappearance and deaths of the three children remain unclear as police have commenced investigations into the incident.

Police Investigate Deaths of Missing Children

Confirming the incident, the Assembly Member for the area, Seidu Fuseini, said the owner of the vehicle has been taken into police custody to assist with investigations.

According to him, the vehicle owner told investigators that he had locked all the doors of the vehicle before leaving it.

A relative of one of the deceased children, Mohammed Juuna, also reported the incident in a social media post, stating that the children were found trapped inside a stationary vehicle within the Koblimahagu Zuo community.

The discovery has sparked concern among residents as authorities work to establish how the children entered the vehicle and what led to their deaths.

Bodies Sent to Tamale Teaching Hospital

Following the discovery, the bodies of the three children were conveyed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue.

An autopsy is expected to help determine the exact cause of death and provide investigators with additional information as they work to reconstruct the events leading to the tragedy.

Police investigations are ongoing, and authorities are expected to establish the circumstances surrounding the children’s disappearance, how they became trapped inside the vehicle and the events that resulted in their deaths.
