Two people have died following a road traffic accident on the Kpetoe–Sarakope road in Ghana’s Volta Region.
The accident occurred on Saturday, September 26, 2026, along the Kpetoe–Sarakope stretch, where a Hyundai H100 bus carrying 12 passengers collided with a Ford tractor carrying two occupants.
The vehicles were reportedly travelling from Kpetoe towards Aflao when the crash occurred.
Firefighters Rescue 14 Accident Victims
Firefighters from the Kpetoe Fire Station responded to the accident and successfully rescued all 14 occupants involved in the crash.
The rescued victims were subsequently handed over to personnel from the National Ambulance Service and Ghana Police Service for transportation to the Ho Teaching Hospital, where they received medical attention.
Despite the rescue efforts, two victims—a male and a female—were later confirmed dead at the hospital.
The incident has renewed attention on road safety in the Volta Region, as authorities continue to respond to road crashes and provide emergency assistance to accident victims.
