Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang met with GB Foods, an Agrolimen subsidiary, as part of her official duties in Barcelona.
The interaction highlighted the government’s dedication to creating partnerships that benefit both parties and confirmed Ghana and Spain’s long-standing bilateral ties.
Opportunities within Ghana’s tomato value chain were discussed, in keeping with the government’s overarching goal to support agro-processing, value addition, and employment creation.

The integration of Ghanaian tomato growers into the value chain was prioritised in order to improve sustainable livelihoods, increase local production, and minimise import dependence.
The government remains dedicated to fostering an enabling environment for investment and strengthening strategic cooperation in order to fuel industrial growth, help local farmers, and achieve Ghana’s economic transformation program.
