Vice President Prof. Opoku-Agyemang to seek medical treatment abroad

Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang was treated at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on Friday, March 28, 2025, following an unexpected health problem.

Following the sudden sickness, she sought medical assistance at UGMC on Saturday, according to a statement issued by the Presidency’s Communications Directorate on Sunday, March 30.

Doctors have advised additional therapy overseas to help her complete recovery, according to the statement, which was signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Member of Parliament and Minister for Government Communications.

“We extend our best wishes to the Vice President for a speedy recovery,” the statement said at the end.
