As of August 14, 2025, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 37 additional cases of Mpox, increasing the total number of infections in the nation to 409.

There are two patients being admitted.

The update comes after 26 more cases were reported in the August 11 report, bringing the total to 372 at that time. The GHS confirmed 346 cases earlier on August 7.

There is still only one person dead nationwide.

According to health officials, direct contact with an infected person is the primary way that mpox is spread.

Fever, skin rashes, and enlarged lymph nodes are among the symptoms.

When caring for a sick person, the GHS is asking the public to wear a mask, wash their hands frequently with soap and water, avoid touching their mouth, nose, or eyes, and avoid close contact with those exhibiting symptoms.

With assistance from regional health directorates, the service claims to be tracking contacts, keeping an eye on the outbreak, and stepping up public education.
