For the upcoming by-election in Assin North, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has accepted the dates for the parliamentary primary election.

The following timings have been authorized:

Opening of Nomination – Wednesday, May 31, 2023

Closing of Nomination – Thursday, June 1, 2023

Election – Wednesday, June 7, 2023

On Tuesday, May 30, 2023, the decision was made at a meeting of the party’s Steering Committee (SC). The party also passed Rules and Regulations to govern the conduct of the parliamentary primary election, which will be made available to stakeholders, according to a statement by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong.

In the interim, nomination forms can be purchased at the Constituency Party Office.
