Thunderstorms and rain are predicted to strike Accra, Kasoa, and portions of the Ashanti Region later today, according to a warning from the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet).
Accra, Kasoa, Kumasi, Obuasi, Tarkwa, Cape Coast, Takoradi, Axim, and Sefwi Bekwai are among the locations that are likely to be impacted, according to a statement released on Thursday, November 27, 2025, and signed by Duty Forecaster Mercy Effah Pardie.
Early in the morning, mist and fog patches developed across mountainous, woodland, and coastal regions, impairing commuters’ visibility, according to GMet.
Sunny skies are predicted over the country by midmorning, but in the afternoon, erratic weather patterns will take over.
According to the service, rain or thunderstorms would continue into the evening in the middle and transition zones, as well as portions of the coastal belt. Throughout the day, Northern Ghana is predicted to stay mostly dry and somewhat cloudy.
While sea conditions are predicted to remain stormy, the prediction also indicated comparatively cool overnight and early morning temperatures across the higher regions.
