Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Minister of Finance, has challenged staff at the Circle Tax Service Centre to recommit to discipline, integrity, and professionalism as Ghana strives to reach domestic revenue targets.
During a working visit, Dr. Forson stated that his goal was to listen, encourage, and assist in establishing a clear route to enhancing revenue performance.
He emphasized that the national revenue objectives for the year are reasonable and entirely doable.
“What we need now is commitment, discipline, and integrity in the way we mobilise revenue,” he told the staff.

Reducing outside involvement, tightening compliance, and increasing the use of electronic technologies intended to close gaps and increase efficiency are the Minister’s three main aims for bolstering collections.
Dr. Forson reaffirmed his position on performance-based accountability, saying that he is committed to rewarding diligent officers who produce results while holding accountable anyone whose deeds or inactions jeopardize tax office operations or the larger national revenue endeavor.
“Ghana cannot afford anything less,” he emphasized, urging staff to rise to the occasion as the nation strives for a more robust, equitable, and long-lasting revenue structure.
