Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah (MP), Minister of Lands and Natural Resources and Acting Minister of Environment, Science, and Technology, arrived in South Africa yesterday, Sunday, February 8, 2026, for this year’s edition of Africa’s largest mining investment and policy forum, dubbed ‘African Mining Indaba 2026’.
As the continent’s largest mining and investment forum, the conference brings together governments, global mining firms, investors, and regulators to attract capital, create policy, and set the agenda for responsible and sustainable mineral development in Africa.
Hon. Armah-Koff Buah, who leads Ghana’s delegation, will participate in a series of high-level dialogues and strategic engagements, as well as contribute to larger debates about important concerns facing the mining industry.
The sector minister, Hon. Armah-Kofi Buah, will be the main speaker at the eagerly awaited “Ghana Day event,” which is scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2026, among the main engagements.
This event will give Ghana, the continent’s top producer of gold, a chance to show off its commercial potential to potential investors and increase interest in its extractive industry.
Ghana’s attendance at this year’s conference is in line with President His Excellency John Dramani Mahama’s goal of developing the mining industry through increased international collaboration and focused strategic investment projects.
