Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, dedicated the newly constructed Ministry of Finance office complex in Accra on Monday morning, praying for the facility’s leadership and workers as they begin work there.
The brief but solemn event, held before the start of the workday, gathered Ministry staff and top officials for a moment of meditation and thanksgiving at the opulent office building in Kanda, near the seat of government.
During the dedication, the Moderator prayed for Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Minister of Finance; Thomas Ampem Nyarko, Deputy Minister; Patrick Nomo, Chief Director; and the Ministry’s whole workforce.
To properly manage Ghana’s economic difficulties and guide the nation toward stability and progress, he prayed for heavenly insight, strength, and direction.
The leadership of the Ministry was also asked for integrity, sound judgement, and clarity of purpose as they took on the crucial responsibility of defining the country’s economic and fiscal policies.
The brief ceremony signalled the official start of operations in the new complex, and staff subsequently returned to their jobs.
