Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), the Minister of Foreign Affairs, has arrived in Burkina Faso for a two-day official visit with the goal of enhancing bilateral ties and expanding collaboration between the two adjacent nations.
His Excellency Karamoko Jean-Marie Traoré, his Burkinabè counterpart, and His Excellency Kenneth Akibate, Ghana’s ambassador to Burkina Faso, welcomed him upon his arrival.
In order to strengthen ties between the two nations, especially in light of changing regional security threats, the official visit aims to sign strategic agreements, increase political consultations, and strengthen security cooperation.
Prior to his departure from Accra, the Minister visited the 37 Military Hospital to express solidarity and empathy with Ghanaian survivors of the February 14th terrorist attack in Titao, northern Burkina Faso.
The injured traders were airlifted to Ghana by the Ghana Air Force and are currently receiving medical care.
