Mohammed Baba Jamal Ahmed was sworn in as the member of parliament for the Ayawaso East Constituency by Speaker of the House Alban Bagbin.
Before Hon. Baba Jamal was escorted to his seat as the Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso East Constituency, the Rt. Hon. Speaker led him in administering the oath of office and the pledge of allegiance at the start of today’s session.
The freshly sworn-in MP was given copies of the Constitution and Standing Orders by the Rt. Hon. Speaker as fundamental tools to support his legislative duties.
The Rt. Hon. Speaker emphasised that he will personally monitor Hon. Baba Jamal on the floor to see how well he serves his constituents and encouraged him to be accountable to the good people of Ayawaso East.
The leaders of both caucuses alternately welcomed Baba Jamal and exhorted him to serve the nation and his constituents as best he could.
