The Heritage Village initiative by Goldbod Jewellery, a strategic platform supporting locally made gold jewellery and furthering Ghana’s value-added industrial agenda, has been formally launched by Vice-President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.
The program, spearheaded by Gertrude Emefa Donkor, highlights a crucial national aim that involves empowering craftsmen and bolstering Ghana’s creative economy while shifting from raw gold exports to the manufacturing of refined, high-value goods.
The three-day event, which is scheduled to take place during Ghana Month, presents gold as a symbol of innovation, economic transformation, and national pride in addition to being a natural resource.

The Vice President praised the organisers for making a significant contribution to the national conversation on industrialisation and company development, especially in fostering local companies that are globally competitive.
She expressed optimism that Heritage Village will continue to inspire greatness, assist craftsmen, and propel sustainable economic success, emphasising that Ghana’s future growth rests in its ability to create, innovate, and establish resilient industries.
