A distress call about a traffic accident near Mile 44 on the Accra–Kumasi Highway was received by the Suhum Municipal Fire Station yesterday, April 13 at 04:24.

In a matter of minutes, a seven-person crew responded promptly.

A diesel trailer and a VIP bus were involved in the collision, which was allegedly caused by the bus’s improper overtaking.

Ten people—nine men and one woman—were killed out of the thirty-three passengers on board, although nobody was trapped.

There was some damage to both cars.

Before heading back to base, the firefighters safely finished their tasks and secured the area.
