Dualization of the Winneba Cape- Coast Road Project (30km- 54km) | Project- Lot 2: Dualization Winneba- Mankessim (24km)

The Winneba-Mankessim Road Project’s dualisation is moving along at a steady pace. The project is scheduled to be finished in November 2027, having begun in December 2025.

Right now, 25% of the work has been completed physically. Thus far, the contactor has finished clearing the site and building large culverts and drainage systems. Subbase development, base formation, and the building of two (2) interchanges at Apam Junction and Otaw are all making steady progress.

The scope of the project consists of:

· Clearing of vegetation

· Road formation

· Subbase formation

· Base formation

· Construction of two (2) interchanges (Apam Junction and Otaw)

· Asphaltic concrete finishing

· Construction of drainage systems and culverts

· Provision of pedestrian underground crossings

· Road furniture

· Provision of streetlights

· Provision of bus stops

When the project is finished, drivers will benefit and travel times will be reduced, which will help the nation’s socioeconomic development.

Additionally, it will improve traffic flow to and from Takoradi and Cape Coast to Accra, the country’s capital.
