The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has donated 3,000 mathematics sets to Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) aspirants in Accra to help them prepare for the exam.
The gift was given yesterday, Monday as the Ga Mantse, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, the Accra Mayor, Hon. Michael Kpakpo Allotey, representatives from the Ghana Education Service, and queen mothers were on a monitoring visit to a few exam centers.
When the Ga Mantse presented the goods, he said that the gesture was meant to uplift the applicants and lessen their workload while they completed the test.
He claimed that the kids were the nation’s future and that, with the right help and direction, any of them might go on to become Ghana’s president.
He said that the BECE was a crucial phase in the applicants’ academic careers and advised them to maintain discipline, focus, and self-assurance throughout the test period.

The Ga Mantse also urged parents to provide their kids with the emotional support they require, stating that candidates needed motivation to do well.
He noted that the papers had begun on schedule at the centers he visited and praised the education directorate, teachers, supervisors, and invigilators for the exam’s seamless beginning.
Following the presentation, the Ga Mantse spoke to the candidates and advised them to trust what they had learned, stay calm, and have faith in themselves.
He said that the entire state of Ga, the regional minister, the mayor, chiefs, queen moms, and education officials were behind them and hoping for their success.
The Greater Accra Regional Minister stated that candidates in the area were prepared and ready to make their parents and the nation proud, adding that all exam logistics had been provided and that preparations that started roughly three months prior had addressed some parents’ and candidates’ concerns prior to the test.
The mayor of Accra also counselled the applicants to stay focused, write honestly, and record what they had learned rather than depending on “apor” or leaked exam questions.

The Mayor also revealed that steps were being done to enhance Ga language instruction in the city’s schools, emphasising that the Assembly had recruited Ga youths who had studied the language and were eager to assist in instructing kids.
He praised the education directorate, teachers, invigilators, and supervisors for making sure the exam began without a hitch at all of the locations he visited.
Prof. Mrs. Smile Gavua Dzisi, Deputy Education Director, praised the Ga Mantse for the presentation and advised the applicants to stay calm, attentive, and self-assured when writing the test.
