The Mankessim, Ajumako, and Agona Swedru Road repair project is making steady progress.

The project is scheduled to be finished by January 2028, having begun in January 2026.
Physical Advancement

Right now, 15% of the work has been physically completed.

The contractor is now working on earthworks, drainage structure building, and site clearance and demolition.

· Construction of 3 hydraulic bridges (Barfikrom and Ochiso)

· Provision of road furniture and streetlights

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PROJECT

When finished, the project will create a crucial connection between the N4 Highway and the Coastal (N1) and Central Corridors (N6 & N8), thereby improving the socioeconomic conditions of the residents of Agona, Gomoa, Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam, Mfantsiman, Asikuma-Odobeng-Brakwa, and the Central region as a whole.

Additionally, the project will allow socioeconomic development and interregional integration within the nation, as well as more effective movement of people, products, and services within the Central Region and throughout the entire nation.
