Residents recount fatal shooting

Residents were alarmed after hearing what appeared to be gunshots shortly before 10 p.m. A resident who spoke about the incident said people rushed outside and found Rahman lying in front of his residential gate.

According to the witness, no suspect was seen fleeing the area immediately after the shooting.

The incident has left residents of Beach Drive Estate and surrounding communities in shock, while concerns over security in Tuba and Ga South continue to grow.

Family calls for police investigation

A relative of the deceased has appealed to the Ghana Police Service to conduct a thorough investigation, identify the suspected killer and ensure that the perpetrator faces justice.

The family member also expressed concerns about the level of security within the estate, alleging that security personnel stationed at checkpoints were not providing adequate protection to residents.

She claimed that some guards were often unfit for duty and recalled a previous shooting incident involving another person near the estate’s entrance.

Residents raise security concerns

The latest Ga South shooting incident has intensified calls for improved security measures at residential estates in the area.

Residents are particularly concerned that the attack occurred relatively early in the evening in a community generally considered quiet.

The circumstances surrounding the killing remain under investigation, and authorities are expected to work to establish the motive for the fatal shooting of the car dealer and identify the person responsible.
